[SMT-PAIG] The PAIG Blog: New Posts, and How to Subscribe

Dear PAIG Members,



I hope this message finds you well!  It's been just over six months since the "reboot" of the PAIG blog.  So I'm writing with a few items.



  *   First let me draw your attention to our two most recent blog posts, by Richard Beaudoin and PAIG co-president Ed Klorman.  Both have written for us about the performance of meter:

As submissions manager for the blog, I’m particularly pleased to be presenting two entries that display such different approaches to the topic—an excellent reminder of the diversity of perspectives among PAIG members.  I urge you to share your thoughts in the comments section!  (You don’t need to set up a Wordpress account to comment.)



  *   Second, I would like to detail how you can subscribe to the blog.  All you need is an email address, no Wordpress account required!  Subscribing to the blog is a much more reliable way for you to follow what’s going on than relying on my messages to our listserv and Facebook page, or remembering to check the blog on your own.  It’s easy, and you’ll be sent an automatically generated email whenever there’s a new post on the blog.

1)  Go to the PAIG blog:  https://smtpaig.wordpress.com/
2)  In the bottom-right corner, you should see a little blue box with a + sign that says “Follow.”  Click on it, and enter the email address you’d like the messages to go to.
3)  A verification message will immediately be sent to the email address you entered in.  In this message there will be a blue "Confirm Follow" button.  Congratulations!  You've now subscribed.  Clicking on this button will send you to a subscription-management website, but you don't need to do anything here.  The "first-level default," if you will, is to receive emails every time we post on the blog.  This will usually be once or twice a month, so don't worry about your inbox getting flooded.  In fact, the more people subscribe, the less we will remind you via the listserv.
4)  You'll get another email tells you that you've successfully subscribed.  You can ignore this.
