[SMT-PAIG] PAIG/DMIG Joint Session

[SMT PAIG]

Dear colleagues,

At this year's Annual Meeting of the SMT, PAIG is collaborating with the
Dance and Movement Interest Group (DMIG) on a joint session featuring
lightning talks, roundtable discussion, and open time for socializing among
interest group members. The session will take place on *Thursday, November
6 from 7:15–8:45 pm in Mirage.*

Following a brief business meeting, the program will consist of the
following lightning talks:

Nate Mitchell, “Dancing with Death: Choreomusical Cueing in Dark Souls Boss
Fights”

Ash Mach, “Effort and Tension in Rebecca Saunders's Dialogue for Viola and
Percussion (2011)”

Amy Ming Wai Tai, “Physical and Psychological Spaces in Dance and Music”

A brief Q&A period will immediately follow each talk. After the third talk,
space will be opened for general/roundtable Q&A and discussion. The final
30 minutes of the session will be dedicated to informal socializing among
interest group members. We hope you will join us!
