[Smt-talk] Advice re: analytical literature précis

Jeff:

On top of the good suggestions you have already gotten, there is the  
ploy of stating the content of each paragraph in as few sentences as  
possible, preferably one. I have done this myself as an aid to the  
students' reading of otherwise difficult material. This can be a first  
assignment to get them into the proper state of mind, followed by a  
more original treatment of the sort Gerald and Justin have suggested.
