Nicolas Meeus's point is well taken, as is Gregory Barnett's. If one regards modal designation as 'analysis' and individual melodies as 'pieces,' one can consider as analyses certain European writings from ca. 1000 onward (as well as East Asian counterparts). 
In studying aural traditions (and what tradition is not aural?), transcription is an initial step in analysis. Further, if scores are generally transcriptions of what folks have actually heard or imagined and conveyed by means of theoretically specified symbols, one can acknowledge that the earliest analyses include instances from ancient Rome, Greece, and even Mesopotamia.
