[Smt-talk] Bad Song Corrections . . .

Hello again, Colleagues.

Two small corrections to my previous post (both from Michael Buchler, who would know these things . . . )

1. I mis-spelled Nancy’s name, adding an errant “d” (Nancy, my best friend from college is David Rodgers, and I had just sent him an e-mail. Please forgive me).

2. Michael notes that “Where the Sawgrass Meets the Sky” gave rise to such a hue and cry that Florida decided to retain Stephen Foster’s “Old Folks at Home” as the official state song. Which, if you know the original lyrics, is far worse (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Folks_at_Home#Lyrics).

Sigh.

All best,
Justin
