[Smt-talk] Subdominant

In the diatonic cycle of 5ths the supertonic is the real "pre-dominant." We all know that purveyors of jazz (and American Standards) must know their ii-Vs before they get to the gig.

I am sufficiently Jurassic that I consider the subdominant as both a "pre-dominant" and a "pre-tonic," especially post-Wagner.
