[Smt-talk] Two last questions concerning the concept of appoggiatura

Dear Colleagues,

I only have these two questions to the American theory community:

1. Could any theorist in the US or Canada provide any historical evidence that the appoggiatura must be a leaping dissonance?

2. Could any colleague from the above countries provide evidence that there must be "weak" appoggiaturas - ones that enter on a weak beat and after the chord (excluding syncopation and chord clang)?

I expect some honest answers.
