Well, Stephen certainly did manage to Grabbdus the Abtention of all Parnassum… 
I greatly enjoyed the post, thought it was a terrific joke!  Life being stranger than fiction, it actually isn't so far from the truth: believe it or not, a private counterpoint student brought me, the other day, a CF in d Aeolian to which he had set a counterpoint "solution" in f Aeolian.  Hmmmmmmm………..  CB

Dear Victor and anyone else who was confused by Stephen's posting:



I also did a double-take at the example, and the remark about the rules.
I then re-read the subject line. There is an irony in that preposition "ab" ("away from") that made me chuckle. But the ablative of Parnasus would be "Parnaso" (I think).



Hope this vindicates Stephen, though perhaps he has a different take...
