[Smt-talk] the impossibility of listening

Despite the sneering suggestion that what so many of us do is not part of the listening experience, we should remember nonetheless that Carolyn Abbate and Roger Parker are brilliant, and whatever their book is actually about (as it is patently not about music), it will likely be worth the time investment to read.
